UK: Bishops Wants Islamic Prayers Rooms, Footbaths in all Catholic Schools....

The British Catholic bishops seem to have caught a case of dhimminitude from the Church of England.....

Muslim prayer rooms should be opened in every Roman Catholic school, Church leaders have said.

The Catholic bishops of England and Wales also want special toilet facilities in schools to be adapted for Islamic cleaning rituals.

Their demands will shock both Catholic parents and the Government because they go way beyond the legal requirements on catering for the rights and needs of religious minorities.

But the bishops are keen to answer critics who say religious schools sow division - and to show that they are leading the way in building bridges between people of different faiths.

The bishops acknowledge in a new document proposing the measures that 30 per cent of pupils attending Catholic schools hold a non-Christian faith.

"If practicable, a room (or rooms) might be made available for the use of pupils and staff from other faiths for prayer," the bishops said in the document, Catholic Schools, Children of Other Faiths and Community Cohesion

"Existing toilet facilities might be adapted to accommodate individual ritual cleansing which is sometimes part of religious lifestyle and worship,” they said.

I wonder if the UK bishops ran this idea past Pope Benedict? I doubt it very much. They might want to consult with Madgi Allam.

My daughter attended a relatively small Catholic grade school (K-8).
During this time a Hindu family with four children attended at the same time. I meet the patriarch of the family and know that he sent his children to this Catholic school because the alternative was to send his children to a public (gov't) school. He wanted his children to matriculate in a school that emphasized values, morals, and education.

The father was a very successful physician. Rumor had it he was also the LARGEST donor to the parish church/school. But he was Hindu.

Knowing this man as I do I can say with confidence it would never occur to him to request a "special prayer room" for his four children to worship Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (whom together make up the Supreme Being in the Hindu religion). Why? Because he respected the Catholic faith enough not to attempt to impose his religious beliefs on others. In short, this Hindu family was attempting to assimilate with the larger culture.

What is this "building bridges" thing?.. I don't get it.. sounds like bending over and spreading wide, if you ask me. Sounds like the Catholic church has become enablers of islam. By the Catholic church specifying prayer rooms it is stating either there is more than one True God, or they are the same.. Either case.. horrible. The Catholic church needs a major cleansing.

Now you know why I have such contempt for the Brits. I respect Muslims more than Brits because at least Muslims fight for their ideology no matter how sick and twisted it is. Brits wont fight at all. As I said before , they DESERVE whats coming.
