Tony, it's time to de-convert from Catholicism and rejoin the Anglican Church.....
Religious faith - any faith - is needed in order fully to grasp the Middle East conflict, former British prime minister Tony Blair said Tuesday in an interview with a German weekly, Die Zeit. "If religious faith were not to play any role in the 21st century, which I cannot imagine, something decisive would be missing," he said, according to the German version of the interview.
Blair, 55, said his own Catholic beliefs helped him in his current role as envoy for Mideast peace.
"In the first place, you understand what it means to believe. What you often find is that you immediately have something in common with another person of faith, even if he belongs to a different religion.
"As well as that, one is interested in other religions. One's motivation is greater.I regularly read the Koran, practically every day," Blair told the interviewer. He said the Prophet Mohammed had been "an enormously civilizing force."
But when asked if he planned to convert to Islam, he smiled and said, "No, let's not start on that," Die Zeit reported.
Asked about a perception among Muslims that they are oppressed, he said, "You tell me who oppresses the Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq.
"We have overthrown two brutal dictatorships. Then we let the people decide for themselves who to have as a government. The people went to the polls and voted. Then we provided 20 billion dollars in aid.
"Then Muslims incite other Muslims to kill their fellow Muslims. Now tell me, who is oppressing Muslims? Them or me?"

"What a retard"
Oh yeah...but it's weird, I want to respect Blair, then he says dumb fucking shit like this....makes it impossible....

I heard a similar quote, by him, in the movie 'What the West Needs to Know About Islam.' I was thinking, "Huh? WHAT?" Blair is off the deep end. I mean, he stuck by the US for sure, but he's pulling a Jimmy Carter almost.

Although I welcolmed his introduction into my faith, I can tell you that his views on a plethora of issues within it put him at odds with the Holy See, the magisterium and other prime components of Catholicism.
As for his rhetoric regarding Muhammed, even the most cursory glance at his history will clearly delineate a pattern of abuse, mysoginy, terror, rape, murder, gangsterism and oppression.

His readiness to undergo persecution for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as a leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement - all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems that it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad.... Thus, not merely must we credit Muhammad with essential honesty and integrity of purpose, if we are to understand him at all; if we are to correct the errors we have inherited from the past, we must not forget the conclusive proof is a much stricter requirement than a show of plausibility, and in a matter such as this only to be attained with difficulty.

He was sober and abstemious in his diet and a rigorous observer of fasts. He indulged in no magnificence of apparel, the ostentation of a petty mind; neither was his simplicity in dress affected but a result of real disregard for distinction from so trivial a source.
In his private dealings he was just. He treated friends and strangers, the rich and poor, the powerful and weak, with equity, and was beloved by the common people for the affability with which he received them, and listened to their complaints.
His military triumphs awakened no pride nor vain glory, as they would have done had they been effected for selfish purposes. In the time of his greatest power he maintained the same simplicity of manners and appearance as in the days of his adversity. So far from affecting a regal state, he was displeased if, on entering a room, any unusual testimonials of respect were shown to him. If he aimed at a universal dominion, it was the dominion of faith; as to the temporal rule which grew up in his hands, as he used it without ostentation, so he took no step to perpetuate it in his family.

Mohammad's career is a wonderful instance of the force and life that resides in him who possesses an intense faith in God and in the unseen world. He will always be regarded as one of those who have had that influence over the faith, morals and whole earthly life of their fellow men, which none but a really great man ever did, or can exercise; and whose efforts to propagate a great verity will prosper.
Rodwell in the Preface to his translation of the Holy Qur'an

Michael Hart in 'The 100, A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons In History,' New York, 1978.
My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world’s most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the secular and religious level. ...It is probable that the relative influence of Muhammad on Islam has been larger than the combined influence of Jesus Christ and St. Paul on Christianity. ...It is this unparalleled combination of secular and religious influence which I feel entitles Muhammad to be considered the most influential single figure in human history.

Alphonse de LaMartaine in 'Historie de la Turquie,' Paris, 1854.
"Never has a man set for himself, voluntarily or involuntarily, a more sublime aim, since this aim was superhuman; to subvert superstitions which had been imposed between man and his Creator, to render God unto man and man unto God; to restore the rational and sacred idea of divinity amidst the chaos of the material and disfigured gods of idolatry, then existing. Never has a man undertaken a work so far beyond human power with so feeble means, for he (Muhammad) had in the conception as well as in the execution of such a great design, no other instrument than himself and no other aid except a handful of men living in a corner of the desert. Finally, never has a man accomplished such a huge and lasting revolution in the world, because in less than two centuries after its appearance, Islam, in faith and in arms, reigned over the whole of Arabia, and conquered, in God's name, Persia Khorasan, Transoxania, Western India, Syria, Egypt, Abyssinia, all the known continent of Northern Africa, numerous islands of the Mediterranean Sea, Spain, and part of Gaul.
"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astonishing results are the three criteria of a human genius, who could dare compare any great man in history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws, and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislations, empires, peoples, dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and the souls.
"On the basis of a Book, every letter which has become law, he created a spiritual nationality which blend together peoples of every tongue and race. He has left the indelible characteristic of this Muslim nationality the hatred of false gods and the passion for the One and Immaterial God. This avenging patriotism against the profanation of Heaven formed the virtue of the followers of Muhammad; the conquest of one-third the earth to the dogma was his miracle; or rather it was not the miracle of man but that of reason.
"The idea of the unity of God, proclaimed amidst the exhaustion of the fabulous theogonies, was in itself such a miracle that upon it's utterance from his lips it destroyed all the ancient temples of idols and set on fire one-third of the world. His life, his meditations, his heroic revelings against the superstitions of his country, and his boldness in defying the furies of idolatry, his firmness in enduring them for fifteen years in Mecca, his acceptance of the role of public scorn and almost of being a victim of his fellow countrymen... This dogma was twofold the unity of God and the immateriality of God: the former telling what God is, the latter telling what God is not; the one overthrowing false gods with the sword, the other starting an idea with words.
"Philosopher, Orator, Apostle, Legislator, Conqueror of Ideas, Restorer of Rational beliefs.... The founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"

"False messiahs and false prophets will appear. They will work
miraculous signs and do wonderful things to deceive, if possible,
those whom God has chosen" (Mark 13:22)
Mo has apparently deceived the un-named poster, who is fawning all
over the false prophet, and apparently wants to join him in Hell.

The “prophet Mohammad” was a murder, a torturer, a rapist, a liar and a pedophile. Hmmmmm. Why would anyone with a clear moral direction follow such a man. Is there evil in your heart?

* Mohammad in the Bible (youtube thingy)
Old Mo is in the Bible, alright, not specifically named, but his
job description (false prophet) can be found in Mark 13:22 and
elsewhere.
Back to youtube, this is a reasonably good look at the fate of
islam and muslims deceived by its false god and false prophet:
Ezekiel 38 ( youtube.com/watch?v=-gBtV2ydX3I )
Merry Christmas! Jesus is Lord, Mo is a dead fake, islam is doomed.

And posting anonymously is a sure sign that you are a chickenshit...which considerably detracts from your credibility.

posting under the real name, a nickname, a fake name or no name at all does not change much to anything. Being agressive, impolite and associating the name of Jesus Peace on Him, with cursing in the same statement is a dishonor to Him and to yourself. Jesus is highly revered in the Muslim faith. He is by far mentioned more times in the Koran than Mohamed Peace and Prayer be upon Him, Himself.

Attention "no name"; blaspheming against Jesus Christ, as mohammed
the false prophet did, and as Mo's deluded followers do, is not a
wise move. This is one of Mo's blasphemies, which would be more
than enough to see him burn in hell forever, if he did not repent
before he fell off his perch....
(Blasphemous, satanic verse of koran 4:157) "... They did not kill
him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did".
Jesus Christ is denied and blasphemed against in the muslim "faith";
here is another blasphemy: "The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was
no more than allah's apostle ... allah forbid that he should have a
son!" (blasphemous sura 4:171)
Islam is doomed, along with those muslims who go along with its
blasphemies, and deny that Jesus Christ died on the cross and was
resurrected, and that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, and
that the Son and the Father are One.
Merry Christmas! islam is doomed, along with its followers.

Islam is for your information the fastest growing religion in the World. In the US alone 20000 native Christian American convert each year despite horrendeous and despicable smear campaigns waged by peaple like you who are blinded by hate and fanticism. Wait and see if Islam is doomed, in your dreams alone.

Even I have my doubts about this pronouncement of Tony Blair's, and I am arguably his biggest British follower.
If we do not know enough about Mohammed, why doesn't someone make us a movie, so we can find out? Oh, no. That kind of 'false image' would be unacceptable according to Mohammed's message in the Koran.
It's all too, too juvenile for me. If someone is THAT great, we need to know, without casting out our own belief systems or disbelief in order to find out.
People don't read books today - or not THAT kind of book.
A new Islamic "Ten Commandments". That's the answer. Get Hollywood to do it - or better still Bollywood.
I've written about my concerns over this at my blog, for those interested.

Horse With No Name -
I am sure that your people's efforts to convert as many people as possible are bearing fruit. However, as with all evil, it will not prevail. What you seem to be missing is that, above all, the majority of Americans love their freedom. Freedom does not seem to be a big priority in your religion; just to be clear 'freedom' does not simply mean, "freedom to worship Allah," or "freedom from choices of whom to marry, whom to befriend, or what pastimes to pursue." True freedom means freedom to not practice a religion, if one so chooses, or to really pursue whatever one wishes. Forced conversion into a death-cult, from which there is no escape, does not sound like freedom to me.

Tony Blair has done more than any other politician in British history to
break the family and undo Christianity. It was his government that encouraged single mothers, it is his welfare department that advises claimants that they would be better off if divorced, it is his government that has thrown the doors of Britain wide open to angry hordes intend on taking over Britain. If anyone ever deserved to hanged for treason Tony Blair heads the list.
