Reuters: Bill Maher's Right, the Old Testament is a "Book of Jewish Fairy Tales".....

Under any circumstances, could you see Reuters saying something like this about the Koran? Not a fucking chance in hell......

LOS ANGELES (Reuters Hollywood Reporter) – Bill Maher, on HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher," frequently refers to the Old Testament of the Bible as the Book of Jewish Fairy Tales. The description might anger the pious and the fundamentalists, but guess what? Maher's close to the truth.

A visually stunning two-hour special edition of "Nova" examines decades of archaeological studies that contradict much of what is in the Bible. The entire Exodus story is debunked, as is the idea that the Israelites were monotheistic following the contract made between God and Abraham. It turns out idol worship was common through the reign of King David and right up to the Babylonian exile.

I quite agree that most religious books are not the words of God, but inspired by people who believed in a God and wrote what they thought their God would say. The writings reflect the people far more than their God. Apart from the Muslims, most religions have distanced themselves from the actual words and are quite comfortable with the ideals inspired.What is left is that the Jews are a chosen people, the Christians love their brother and do unto others and for the Muslims
kill the kafir for the sake of Allah.

They believe that the story of the Exodus is false because they've found no evidence. Why? Because they're looking in the wrong spot. Mt. Sinai, or at least what Moses spoke of, is not in present-day Egypt as they suppose, but present-day Saudi Arabia. Do a search for Ron Wyatt, the archeologist, and you'll be amazed.

Now, think about that. Mt. Sinai, and the entire Jewish nation wandering around in what is now Saudi Arabia. What would that do to the Koran, and to Islam? It would be devastating, that is why the Saudi Government has completely sealed this site off, with armed guards and the lot.

My question is, what is Bill Maher afraid of, with regard to Christianity and God? Additionally, why is GOVERNMENT-FUNDED broadcasting even showing this?

She also engrained into us to help those who find themselves down and out. She also said, if that helping hand of support is grasped and the recipient is clearly using that support, offer more, however if that helping hand is grasped and the hand of the recipient begins to pull you down, let go at all costs because it’s obvious the recipient is satisfied to pull you in 100% of the time.

There's virtually no evidence that Jesus Christ ever existed. There are only two or three references to him before about 110 A.D., and they refer to the newly-invented Christian religion rather than specifically to the supposed man, Jesus Christ.
