NEW YORK – It was only a matter of time. A New York school has been renamed in honor of President-elect Barack Obama.
The former Ludlum Elementary School, in Long Island's Hempstead Union Free School District, was renamed at a school board meeting Thursday — effective immediately. The new name is the Barack Obama Elementary School.
School officials say most of the 440 students there are black or Hispanic, and Obama's victory is a source of great pride.

I think it's becoming safer to say that this cult of personality is now the biggest the world has ever seen. For all their numerous faults Stalin and Mao didn't start their cults until after they took office and delivered some accomplishments (brutally to be sure). This fraud is having things named after him BEFORE HE'S EVEN ENTHRONED! Make no mistake-January 20, 2009 will indeed be an enthronement and we will see another tsunami of euphoria sweep the world. One would think this guy defeated an alien invasion of the planet with all the praise heaped on him. I never thought crap could be piled that high without finally collapsing under its own weight.

Good Gravy! This cult is the strangest fucking thing I've ever seen.
What are these dimwits going to do when Dear Leader disappoints them? And I do mean WHEN, not IF. Four years from now when we are standing in bread lines and waiting for our gas coupons, that name change is going to seem like a real mistake. And they won't be able to change it back because the cost of new stationary will be so prohibitive.

This must be a minor miracle. If I were the Great One I'd be a little miffed-only existing things are being named after him. New things need to go up in his name so that he may truly be enshrined with the greats.

A recent study on brain imaging has confirmed that love turns off the thinking part of the brain and this school proves it. In the last year,the year of the presidential campaign, this particular school's grade 5 English and Maths proficiency, currently 40% and 15% below state average, dropped by 10% and 15% respectively. The headline might as well read: "Dummies vote Obama"
