Held hostage in India's Oberoi Trident Hotel, Seyfi Müezzinoğlu, and his wife Meltem Müezzinoğlu, talked about the horror-filled hours and how they were saved when they read the Fatiha sura from the Koran and proved they were Muslim.Müezzinoğlu described the moments of terror by stating; "As soon as we heard the sound of gun shots in the hotel, a hotel employee forced us into the exit stairs. Behind us we saw two young men, and one aged 20-25 was holding a Kalashnikov. We were maybe 15-20, people, maybe even 30 and at that point there was a fire. Meanwhile the whole way they were referring to each other by a Muslim name, so I said I am also Muslim. One of their phones rang. They answered the phone and said we are also Muslim. When I took out my identification, he looked at it and threw it on the ground

....At one point, one man tried to pull my pants down, to check to see if I was circumcised or not. Of course if he said pull those down I was going to out of fear. So I began reading the Fatiha sura, and he said; "Okay, okay, your wife also read the Fatiha sura."Stating the terrorists then locked themselves into a room, Müezzinoğlu, said that it was then they were saved by Indian soldiers.
