Didn't take long.....
MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pledged on Wednesday to station new missiles near Poland's border in response to U.S. plans for an anti-missile system and proposed extending the presidential term to six years from four.
The harsh tone and repeated attacks on the United States the day after Democrat Barack Obama's electoral victory surprised some observers who had expected a more liberal style and more detail on how Russia would tackle a financial crisis.
"To neutralise -- if necessary -- the (U.S.) anti-missile system, an Iskander missile system will be deployed in the Kaliningrad region," Medvedev said, referring to a Russian enclave bordering European Union members Poland and Lithuania.
Russia would electronically jam the U.S. system, parts of which are due to be deployed in Poland and the Czech Republic, and Moscow would scrap plans to stand down three Cold War-era nuclear missile regiments, the president said.
"Medvedev was very assertive in his delivery," said Ronald Smith, chief strategist at Alfa Bank in Moscow. "(He) appeared to be staking out strong positions on various issues ahead of the entry of the new American presidential administration."

Why? The Russians know a weak empty suit when they see one.

Russia has nothing to fear now that they have their candidate of choice in office! Hopefully somebody in our military will have to courage to overthrow the BHO admin and take the country back!

Sissy in the White House, time to pile on and take down number one.
Bush needs to take some rear guard action on the way out. I have a feeling Israel is holding a briefing for a special mission as I type.

Swift2,
He is a weak empty suit and our enemies know it.

Lol... Biden, the Prophet of Doom.
Here's a six-month prediction of my own: Europe will wet themselves with love for Obama's U.S. for six months. Then they'll go back to hating us.

The sharks are circling. It doesn't matter if Obama's weak or not. He appears weak. That's all the incentive the world needs.
Isn't it amazing how realistic our enemies are and how naive the majority of US voters are?
Can Obama deliver? Time will tell. If he fails, he's raised expectations SO high, he will be attacked by everyone, enemy and friend alike.
Well Barry, you got what you asked for. Now you have to live with it. I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.

swift2,
Perhaps you're confusing campaigning with administrating? Success in one area does not presage success in the other. Obama's never administered or managed anything other than his ongoing campaign to rule the world.

Bob,
He didnt even campaign that well. If it wasnt for the media propping him up as well as his cronies stuffing the ballot box, he would have lost big. Well, no one knew the real Obama but now they will.

No it certainly did not take long. Russia has taken the point in the soon to be never-ending test of Mr Obama, and the whole world is watching.
Obama is going to fold like a house of cards because he actually thinks that people such as Medvedev and Putin will negotiate in good faith. Those guys will smile all the while they are f***ing you and then not even give you a kiss at the end.
The quote from Medvedev says it all to me: "...the new administration in the United States of America, shall choose to respect full-fledged relationships with Russia."
In other words he is telling the US not to intervene with anything they choose to do.
I don't think this is what Biden was talking about though. I truly believe that there is something major in the works and that it will be sprung on the USA after he is in office.
God help us all because this guy will not make good decisions when the heat is really turned up.
For all of you who think that the economy is the most important issue facing this nation, you are wrong. Our security is the absolute most important thing we need to be concerned about, now and every day in the future. And of course all you damned dreamers were either are too stupid or just unwilling to look past the crap spewing from Obamas mouth and really see who and what he is.

El,
As usual, we had dumb and dumber to choose from. Two exceptionally weak pretenders to the throne.
Then we had a press that refused to be objective, a thugocracy of men and women around The One who would say and do anything to get him elected, raising $600,000 or more in contributions from God knows whom - mixed all together and we have OBAMA v. McCAIN - the most corrupt election since the early 1800's in this country. The fix was in from the start and McCain did nothing to stop it.
Neither was a conservative. Just Left and Radical Left all brought to the American public by the New Orc Times, the Boston Globe, the LA Times, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Time, Newsweek, the Republic and too many others to list here who completely and willingly gave up their scruples (if they ever had any to begin with) to help guarantee an Obama win. They did this so they would have access to the new Hitler when he gets coronated and they can help make talk radio, their main competition, disappear through the Fairness Doctrine.
I honestly don't know where to start rebuilding the opposition. Ron Paul? Good ideas. But a loser. Palin and Jindel. Yes, but how do we get rid of all the corrupt assholes left in the Republican party and the RINOs too?
I don't buy into the Victor Davis Hanson idea of still being the nice guy. He's fearful that if the Republicans aren't nice, then people will say that they're just like the Demturds so let's just keep the Devil we know.
My belief is that nice guys finish last in elections. You have to be willling to rip out their throats, smash in their heads, cut their feet out from under them, attack every day, slash and burn, a war of attrition if needed, take no prisoners ending in a war of annihilation of the candidate and Demturd party.
The way i see it, there is no other way to win. Obama played the "nice guy" when he spoke, all carefully orchestrated, but behind the scenes, the Dems were willing to crucify anyone who stood in their way.
Like Patton said, "Nobody ever won a war dying for their country. They made the other poor, dumb bastard die for his country."
IMHO, that's the only way that the Republicans will get back in power. And when they do, they have to constrain themselves, stick to conservative principles, watch the money, avoid foreign entanglements and protect the People first, not their precious little jobs in Congress.
I'm on real good terms with several politicians. But nice as they are, I'll never trust them completely.
