Statistics are very poorly understood. This is why people don't understand why polygamy will result in child marriages. It is simply about logistics: if two wives per man is the standard there won't be enough women around.

There is no other solution than to marry children. I really wish people would understand this connection:

Good point Universalgeni. I honestly hadn't drawn that connection but it makes complete sense. War booty was another way of gaining extra wives but this somehow is seen as unacceptable nowadays.
