I'm fucking speechless.....is this what it feels like to live in the UK?......
Workers at Tyson Foods' poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day, but will instead take the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr in the fall.
A recent press release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) stated that a new contract at the Shelbyville facility "implements a new holiday to accommodate the ... Muslim workers at the plant."
The RWDSU stated that "the five-year contract creates an additional paid holiday, Iidal Fitil, a Muslim holiday that occurs toward the end of Ramadan."
Eid al-Fitr falls on Oct. 1 this year.
Tyson's Director of Media Relations, Gary Mickelson, stated that while the new contract does not provide an additional holiday, as the union claimed, "the new contract includes eight paid holidays, which is the same number provided in the old contract."
"However, the union leadership did request and receive Eid al-Fitr (which is apparently spelled various ways including Id al-Fitr and Eid ul-Fitr) as a paid holiday in place of Labor Day," Mickelson confirmed in an e-mail to the T-G.

A church house masjid
A school house madrassah
On highway number nineteen
The people keep the crescent green
They call it Shelbyville, oh Shelbyville
They call it Shelbyville city limits
Five years for a wife limit
Infidel not allowed in it
You go to mosque on friday
And have a picnic on Eid al-Fitr day
And explode on Sunday

Elric,
We can make them shit their chicken panties. Email them @ www.tyson.com website and tell them just how much tyson chicken you'll be buying since they suck camel dongs now.
Kick 'em right in the tenders.
Then for fun, contact the investor relations and let them know you'll be trashing tyson every chance you get to every investment group you know and for the grand fireworks, contact the ICE man and let him know that tyson may have 'undocumented' workers with possible connections to radical islime. Call more than once, have a beer and pizza party and every can call. It worked with smith & wesson when they decided to suck clintons little weenie.
See ya at the party!

When you click to read the whole article you'll see that Tyson and the Union representing the muzz workers is getting hammered in the "comments" section.
I didn't know it at the time, but I ate my last piece of Tyson chicken this past Wednesday. I'll never eat chicken from Tyson again.

What BS! This country was built on the back of it's labor force. Tyson was built on the back of it's labor force. I've just emailed them my decision to boycott and inform everyone I know about this egregious decision. Absolutely disgusting! Fckng traitors!

They don't seem to operate in Oz, but may have "front" companies under
other names, but apparently they have a history of annoying people
for various reasons - quite a lot of hits on [boycott "Tyson Foods"]
on google, over this & other things.

I may be a bit confused about US holidays, but isn't Labor Day a mandated National Holiday? How can Tyson even make this decision?

Wow, a lot of pissed off people commenting.

Good question RazarX, I live in the US and I was always under that assumption.

I think it's a mandated holiday only for federal workers. Private businesses don't have to follow that.

I am looking forward to the month of fasting here in toronto...I will be travelling around with several bags of food which I will eat in pedoples faces...continually dropping crumbs slopping juice all over the subways...bus stops...stores...street corners...anywhere \I see any of the faces of those fasting fucks...and that will be everywhere you go and look in this insane city...A week ago I drove my daugher to the airport and took a different route...what a shock...for about ten blocks I thought I was in an islamic country...I had no idea how pervasive the extremist fringe is...streets thick with full burkhaed women and their masters..

Cosmos - Can you drink in public in Canada? Hold a beer in one hand - your ham sandwich in the other.
We are not allowed to eat, drink or smoke in public for an entire month, here, for Ramadan. Even the poor outside workers are not allowed water as they toil in the heat under the sun. Lunacy!

Un-fucking-believable. I surely would have thought that the union would have given up July 4 instead of their high-holy day (or do they also get May Day off?).

I think what is the most telling about this is the STRENGTH of the Muslim community. NEVER have the Mexicans had this kind of POWER. Never have they pushed and won a battle like this. They have NEVER had the take-over agenda that the Muslims are promoting.
