It occurred to me the other day, the best job in America is flying UAV's for the Pentagon and CIA. You go to work in Florida, sit at a terminal in an air-conditioned building, and fly armed UAV's over Pakistan looking to waste jihadists (and possibly Bin Laden himself). What could be better than that?......
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan – Missiles destroyed a suspected militant hide-out near the Afghan border on Wednesday, killing at least five people, Pakistani officials said.
Four intelligence officials told The Associated Press the missiles destroyed a compound near Wana, the main town in the South Waziristan tribal region.
Initial reports from the area indicated between five and 10 people were killed and several others wounded, they said, but there were no details about the identity of the victims.
Two of the officials said foreign militants were known to frequent the compound in the village of Zari Noor. All four officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media.

One of my sons has been awarded a full ROTC scholarship, and I'm trying to talk him into getting involved with the UAV program. He has enough stick time (joystick) to do some real damage already. He is determined to get into armor. It has to be pretty sweet flying UAV, plus you get to wear a pilot's uniform and strut around, much to the glares of the pilots that go up with their rides.
