Bullshit....
WASHINGTON (Reuters)- A federal appeals court on Monday overturned a U.S. military tribunal's enemy combatant designation for a Chinese Muslim at the Guantanamo Bay prison, its first ruling that gives a detainee a chance for release.
It ordered the U.S government to release or transfer Huzaifa Parhat, a member of the Uighur ethnic group, or to "expeditiously" hold a new military tribunal for him

I think the courts want to run this war.

And so it begins. Wait, it will get worse. The Supremes opened the door to enemy combatants to be treated like 'common American citizen criminals'in Federal court, and you can COUNT ON IT that's what they'll push for.
Next step - court orders release, but no other country will take the person. SO, court orders release INTO AMERICA. Enemy combatant then applies for housing, welfore, food stamps, free medical, asylum, etc etc. Court grants it. Say hello to your new neighbor Mohamed from Afghanistan, ex-Taliban fighter.
Oh - and make sure your women-folk wear the hijab, to avoid defending him, or he might have to kill them to protect his honor.

This is one hell of a way to fight a "war".
Time to start growing a beard and reading the Koran in preparation for our coming masters. We're all being sold into slavery by these bastards.

This will encourage terrorists to come here because they know they will get leniency from the courts.
Jefferson was right:
"The question... whether circumstances do not sometimes occur which make it a duty in officers of high trust to assume authorities beyond the law is easy of solution in principle, but sometimes embarrassing in practice. A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means." --Thomas Jefferson to John Colvin, 1810. ME 12:418
"The original error [was in] establishing a judiciary independent of the nation, and which, from the citadel of the law, can turn its guns on those they were meant to defend, and control and fashion their proceedings to its own will." --Thomas Jefferson to John Wayles Eppes, 1807. FE 9:68
