State Department Declines to Close Wahhabi Funded Virginia Islamic School, Textbooks Have Passages Justifying Killing Infidels.....
Fucking disgrace.......
State Department officials said Thursday they have no plans to close a Saudi-financed Islamic school in Northern Virginia that has failed to eliminate violent and intolerant language in textbooks.
"They told us they would revise the textbooks by the 2008 school year," State Department spokesman Rob McInturff said. "We don't plan to take additional action apart from the discussions that have been going on with the Saudi government."
Results released Wednesday from a federal investigation into the Islamic Saudi Academy - with campuses in Alexandria and Fairfax - found textbooks at the 900-student private school had passages that blame the Jews for "discord" and say it is sometimes permissible to kill non-Muslims.

No surprise. This same department is the one that keeps pressuring Israel to keep on caving in to palestinian demands. Sheer madness rules in DC regardless of party.

Of course they won't pressure the Saudis and do anything to piss them off. We need their oil.

80% of people in a poll said that the school should be closed, and the State does nothing.
We no longer live in a federal republic.

Don't they promise to revise the textbooks EVERY year? Yeah. I think so. Hasn't happened yet. Won't be happening next year, either.
Side note: Today's "prayers" were some of the angriest I have heard in five - almost six - years of being here. Don't tell me you can't hear "anger." They were just "chant" after "chant" of being down right threatening!

BT:
Do they translate them on TV? Or can you just tell from the tone?

The tone, Zip. Big difference in yesterday's noon-time [11:38A] prayer and the one from the day before. I was sitting outside by the pool both days - same time. The guy was yelling - his voice was cracking - he was huffing and puffing! Don't know what it was all about but he was NOT happy.
When this was happening, I was trying to come up with a way to record it. I'll take the video-camera out with me next Friday. Won't be able to see anything - but at least will have the sound. Will see how it works.
