UK: Report Says Practicing Muslims Will Outnumber Christians by 2035.....
If the UK is to survive they need to drastically overhaul the Church of England (Catholics can handle their own). The first step should be dumping Archdhimmi Rowan Williams and installing Dr. Nazir Ali in his place. Second step, pray hard and pray often because things aren't looking too good for the UK......
By 2035, there will be about 1.96 million active Muslims in Britain, compared with 1.63 million church-going Christians, according to calculations by Christian Research, a think- tank.
The figures are published in the latest in a series of reports entitled Religious Trends.
The think-tank has warned that 4,000 churches could close by 2020 if congregations continue to shrink at current rates.
According to the most recent figures from the Church of England, regular Sunday, weekly and monthly attendance each fell by one per cent in 2006.
Fewer than a million people attend church every Sunday.
Although at the last count there were only 1.6million Muslims living in Britain – compared to 41million Christians – experts have suggested Muslims are more likely to practise their faith.
More than half of the Muslims who responded to the 2001 census said they prayed every day, compared to 6.3 per cent of Christians who attend church services each week.
Christian Research describes its aim as encouraging "change in Christian culture so that by 2010 more churches are growing".

Considering how non-Christian the U.K. has become, I am actually surprised it would take that long.

I'm with you Todd, 15 years tops IMO.

Hooray for meaningless xenophobic fearmongering!

Please. keep in mind, that being "Christian" does not entail beating your head against the floor five times a day, the call to prayer, or following the barbaric rules of a barbarian. I consider myself Christian, but do not go to church as often as I should. Attending services or not is NOT an indication of Christianity. No one knows how one practices their faith. Christians are more sedate. We don't go around cutting peoples heads off or burning cars...but there are MANY more of us than there are of them (ya' know, the crazy head chopping bastards.)

If you consider a country "meaningless" then I guess you are right.

I dont fear Islam, I loathe it.

What do you expect from us, Abd (Doesn't that mean 'slave' in Arabic)? YOur religion has a 1300 year history of murder, rape, and slavery, starting with your prophet on down. A little xenophobia is warranted, wouldn't you say? Be careful not to count your chickens before they hatch.

They need to deport their asses and revoke citizenship from 95% of those who bow to Mecca.
Hey, Churchill would have the balls to do it, this is no different than the attempted conquest by the Nazis.

Many European countries are at risk to falling to Islam. By the time the countries realize they are being taken over they will no longer have the political power to stop it. Europeans are increasingly rejecting Christianity for secularism, but the result will ultimately be an Islamic totalitarianism under Shariah law. Time will vindicate the crusaders, they at least kept Islam at bay that lasted almost a thousand years. Unfortunately, people today do not have the same resolve.

We(the US) cannot say, nor can the UK say, that we or they were not sufficiently warned of this outcome.
The demographics were pointed out to me rather early on by Steyn, the ideological evidence by Spencer.
Voting Obama (again for the US) is in my estimation, the quickest means to this inevitable end, as unfortunate as it is.
Since the US government won't identify the problem of Islam by name, what are we as citizens going to do about it?

I don't see any way to avoid war. The Muslims will continue to press for more and more cultural "accommodation" that will press the Brits and other Europeans against the wall and they will fight back. Unfortunately they will wait until the last minute instead of acting now because they fear the PC multi-culti establishment. Islam is a death cult that needs to be driven out of the West if we are to survive. Maybe this is our test. If Islam is so wonderful why don't the Muslims stay in the Hell holes they come from?

And yours doesn't, PRCalDude?
No religion is perfect. However, this "study" is a classic case of using irrelevant factoids to instill fear in a population. To a non-Muslim the statistics may be worrying, but it pretends to connect dots that are not there. Scientific studies must be careful not to be affected by biases and inaccurate narratives.

I'm with Abd Al-Karim on this one. Since the population of the UK is around 60 million, and likely to grow, the forecast observing Muslim population might reach about one in thirty in the population, so "meaningless xenophobic fearmongering" seems pretty accurate to me.

Abd,
Islam isnt a religion.

When in London we worship at either St. Paul's or Westminster. There are usually less than 100 people at a service held in these huge churches. The Church of England is basically composed of its clergy - there are no lay people.

[Abd Al-Karim]... classic case of using irrelevant factoids to instill fear in a population.
Why would anyone bother with "irrelevant factoids" to instil fear,
when they can follow "Allah" and his false prophet and instil fear
using the methods in the unholy Koran ... ["Allah" Sura 8:12]I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, maim them in every limb!
Perhaps you would care to consider God's invitation near the end of the Holy Bible, and take the water of life freely: Revelation 17:22
"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who gives ear, say, Come. And let him who is in need come; and let everyone desiring it take of the water of life freely."

The most devout Christian I know personally, is my sister, and she doesn't go to a church. I think there are many, many more people like her in the US.

The word is "islamophobic", and I am one who is that.
Islam is religion which abuses and represses women. Islam is a totalitarian ideology which preaches hatred of Jews and infidels. Islam condones murder, theft and lying.
Islam indoctrinates its followers with evil. Look all over the world and you will see that Muslims have been wreaking violence wherever they live.
Islam is a doppelganger of Judaism and Christianity. A mere shadow of a religion, with no substance.
You know a tree by its fruits. The fruits of Islam are violence, repression, lies and fascism.
Islam Delenda Est.

Islam respects no one. Muslims blow each other up. I don’t see Christians strapping on suicide vests. Islam goal is to erase Christianity from the earth, they fear the truth. Islam = Evil and we better fuckin WAKE UP!
