Pelosi: We had Nothing to do With the Success of the Surge, Iran's "Goodwill" did.....
Enraging.....
Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.

From an apocryphal novel, where one nation invaded a part of another, not long after they'd entered into a non-aggression agreement with them (WWII era novel): "You expected truth from a Politician? Christ, next you'll be expecting charity from a banker."
["Marching Through Georgia," by S.M. Stirling]
Boy, how much of that speaks to this little thing, eh? Looks like Ms. Pelosi is that person expecting, nay demanding, charity from a banker...and truth from a politician.
What a Fuckwit.
