Thousands of supporters from a radical Islamic group rallied in southern Pakistan Saturday to condemn an anti-Koran film made by a Dutch lawmaker.
Muslims in Pakistan have staged similar protests since the March release of Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilder's controversial film, which portrays Islam as a ticking time bomb aimed at Western democracy.
About 5,000 Muslims demonstrated Saturday in Karachi, chanting slogans against the Dutch lawmaker and the Danish government for the republication in Danish newspapers of cartoons depicting Islam's Prophet Muhammad.
The rally was organized by a group called Movement for Protection of Prophet's Glory, and has ended peacefully.
