This is one sick and twisted fuck.....
Beginning next Tuesday, Shvarts will be displaying her senior art project, a documentation of a nine-month process during which she artificially inseminated herself "as often as possible" while periodically taking abortifacient drugs to induce miscarriages. Her exhibition will feature video recordings of these forced miscarriages as well as preserved collections of the blood from the process.
The goal in creating the art exhibition, Shvarts said, was to spark conversation and debate on the relationship between art and the human body. But her project has already provoked more than just debate, inciting, for instance, outcry at a forum for fellow senior art majors held last week. And when told about Shvarts' project, students on both ends of the abortion debate have expressed shock . saying the project does everything from violate moral code to trivialize abortion.
But Shvarts insists her concept was not designed for "shock value."
"I hope it inspires some sort of discourse," Shvarts said. "Sure, some people will be upset with the message and will not agree with it, but it's not the intention of the piece to scandalize anyone."
The display of Schvarts' project will feature a large cube suspended from the ceiling of a room in the gallery of Green Hall. Schvarts will wrap hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting around this cube; lined between layers of the sheeting will be the blood from Schvarts' self-induced miscarriages mixed with Vaseline in order to prevent the blood from drying and to extend the blood throughout the plastic sheeting.
Schvarts will then project recorded videos onto the four sides of the cube. These videos, captured on a VHS camcorder, will show her experiencing miscarriages in her bathrooom tub, she said. Similar videos will be projected onto the walls of the room

You can call me unPC'd if you want, but THIS is NOT art! "Was not designed for shock value ... but for discourse." Sorry, WZ, don need to go to "rest here>>>" and am not interested.
Good Lord, PLEASE let this person be the very END of her gene pool! In fact, bring her gene pool to an especially early end for the sake of the rest of us!!!
Y'all just wait. Next we'll have some fucktard filming her "FGM" for art - just to "inspire discourse" and to let us all know that - well - you know - that it's not a muzzie thing!

Darn it, WZ! When are you going to give us the opportunity to correct our typos like SG has? First, today, no "search" and now, no way to correct typos.
Above should say "don't," not "don." I do not speak ubonex...

This is yet another example of how the Left has deconstructed our society. That this call be referred to, or even conceived of as art is incredible.
The concept of art has been reduced to mere expression. Now, all one needs to do is to "express themselves" and they are by default artists. So, everything from a fine oil painting to a photo of Jesus in a jar or piss to a strip show is considered art.
But, or course, the sane know that all definitions have parameters. A definition is useless if it encompasses everything, but this is the way the Left would have it. Why? One word: equality.
Artists have usually enjoyed a high place in society. Artists have met and painted kings, traveled in upper social circles, and have been celebrated throughout history. But this smacks of unfairness to the Left, why should only those people who lived a life of learning and honing a certain discipline and craft be celebrated? Surely, the untalented hack deserves the same praise. So, the ball began rolling, and now we have mentally unstable students willing to abort their own children for the sake of a little recognition.

One more thing... the funny thing is that this type of scam only works in the visual arts. Here we have a woman aborting her children in a tub, and calling it art. I'm surprised Yoko Ono didn't do this first.
But this thype of scam NEVER works with other forms of art. Think of it, would you pay to see some "artist" stick a trumpet up his hole, and blow whatever tune happens to come out? Why not? He's expressing himself, no?
People expect a firm understanding of musical structure, rhythm, and of the workings of the instrument in their music. Why shouldn't we expect the same from our visual arts?
Yet, people will hold a man who gives himself paint enemas as an artist. (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1248/is_n10_v83/ai_17418212) It is the sign of a sick culture.

Next, we'll have some "art student" slowly torturing and murdering a person to incite "discussion".
These people are SICK. We live in a SICK and perverted society!
God help us!!!

This woman is a Sociopath, and should be institutionalized. She clearly thinks life can be created and then destroyed for a whim.

Now she claims that it was all fictionalized and "performance art". That's what Yale says.
She's still stupid, sick cow.

Well,...at least she's not procreating.
Look for the silver lining.

Posted by: Steff | April 27, 2008 at 10:41 PM
She has no artwork. She's a "performance artist".
In other words, a bullshit artist.
