Obama is going down faster than anyone could have anticipated, I hope the assumption that Clinton would be the weaker candidate holds true. If not, we're fucked.....
WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.
Obama and Republican McCain are running about even.

We're fucked in any case. For me, it's a question of who has coattails. I know Old Crusty doesn't have them, and McCain sure as hell doesn't have them, but I fear Obama does.
I do have to caution you to not look too hard at the national polls; the (unconstitutional) compact to guarantee the election of DhimmiRAT Presidents isn't in force yet, so a state-by-state comparison is still in order.

I agree with Steve. I don't trust the polls. I bet they kept on polling until they got the results they wanted.

Polls are misleading... especially when the spotlight is on Hillary more than McCain lately.
As much as I don't like McCain, his great strength is that he can shave off quite a few Dem and Independent votes once people realize what damage Hillary (or Obama) would do to the country.

I agree with your concern but would temper throwing yourself off a ledge with the Rasmussen poll that continues to show McCain beating either Dem. I won't dismiss the poll you cite but the dramatic change just doesn't seem to pass the smell test.

McCain has not helped his cause by bashing Republicans in North Carolina. And the dumbassed speeches he has been giving.
This election is his to lose.If he loses God Help Us!!
