Random Thoughts on Presidential Election. McCain vs. Hillary...
If this is indeed the case, do we vote for RINO McCain? As bad as McCain is on certain issues, he's still better than comrade Hillary. Especially when it comes to fighting the War on Terror. He wouldn't blink to use force when needed, that much I'm sure about. He was the first one calling for more troops in Iraq, hence he was correct about the surge, long before there was a surge.
My biggest issue here would be keeping a dyed in the wool socialist out of the White House. So a vote for McCain would be a vote against Hillary.
I don't know, I'm trying to make lemonade out of lemons here....

I've got a good feeling about Romney. He's gaining serious momentum, he's incredibley reassuring on the economy and how to deal with it, he's strong on border issues, and he's the most conservative of the bunch now that Fred finally has time for mint juleps and naps.
I'm not convinced that McCain is getting the nomination. The media is to ga-ga over him, the NEA is for him, the NY Times is for him, the Democrats are for him,... the only ones NOT for him are the base of his own party.
People will start rallying around Romney. He's the one to further the conservative cause. Besides Rudy, and Huck are done.
By the way, who's this Ron Paul I keep hearing about? (Hee! Hee!)
BUT! If it is McCain against Clinton or Obama,... Well, let's put it this way, I'd vote AGAINST Hill or Hussein. That's what I'd think of it as. A vote against socialism.
I'd vote for a limp head of cabbage over any of these Dems.

Steve,
I'm definately not counting Mitt out, I still have yet to come across a McCain supporter. Funny thing is McCain polls much better against Hillary than Romney, this was before she started going for the jugular though, I suspect she wouldn't do as good in a new poll.

I'll vote for any Republican over Hillary; I agree, it's about socialism.
I have hopes for Romney too.

Romney is hitlery without the pants suit. My big issue is GUNZ and Romney is for BANNING "especially dangerous" guns, ie anything he doesn't like. He professes to be a "conservative" but anything from yankeeland that claims to be "conservative" is lying.
I might be able to vote for McCain if Fred Thompson is his VP.

Fifty,
I'm from Mass, and when he ran for govenor here, he said a LOT of things differently than he's saying now. That's my one big knock on him, and the Dems would hammer him over it....

I'm for Romney, but if it comes down to McCain or any democrat, I'm still content with McCain. I just think Romney would be better for the country.

McCain sucks. I wouldnt feel content him in office. Has the Republican party sunk so far that someone like McCain get the nomination? Would be be better than Hillary? Yes. But just think that we even have to asked that question.
