Mass. Proposes Ban on Parents Spanking Their Kids....
The nanny state of Massachusetts is at it again, inserting the state into the parenting of kids. This law is destined to back-fire, it's the mere of a spanking that keeps most kids in-line. Taking away that threat gives kids even less incentive to obey their parents...
BOSTON -- Lawmakers on Beacon Hill are set to consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the commonwealth.
NewsCenter 5's Shiba Russell reported that the issue is set for debate at a Statehouse hearing Wednesday morning.
The Boston Herald reported that State Rep. Jay Kaufman filed the spanking ban petition at the request of an Arlington, Mass., nurse who wants Massachusetts to become the first state in the country to stop corporal punishment.
this proposal does become law and parents are caught hitting their children who are under the age of 18 they could be charged with abuse or neglect.

I know you do WZ. I lived in Concord for 16 or 17 years before moving to N.C., and then moving to The Sandbox. Drove every single day down 93 to Boston to go to work at the Federal Reserve building [worked for attorneys, not for the Federal Reserve] on Atlantic Avenue - it was approximately 1995-98 and I paid $240. a month to park!!! Wasn't renting a place - just parking my damn Nissan! And, paying about that much to take my "Kid" [Rottweiller, Sergeant, or, fondly referred to as "Baby Sarge"] to day care, per WEEK, at the same time... It was a long drive... Two hours one-way... Sometimes even longer!
