Georgia Mayor Praises Chavez, Confirms Visit to Venezuela...
No word yet if Nancy Pelosi will be joining him on his propaganda tour of Chavez's socialist paradise...
Macon Mayor C. Jack Ellis confirmed he sent a "declaration of solidarity" to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, a frequent critic of U.S. policy.
Ellis says he intends to visit Venezuela and meet with Chavez and that nation's mayors, but he has not set a date for the visit.
Ellis also invited Venezuelan leaders to visit Macon, according to a news release posted on the Venezuelan government's website.
Ellis says he hopes to develop economic ties with Venezuela and assure access to Venezuela's oil supply.
"If we can get some of those petro-dollars out of Venezuela to help solve some projects that we're working on in this country as well as in other countries, we're right there," Ellis said.
A Venezuelan news Web site reported that Chavez thanked Ellis this week for his "declaration of solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela."

I wonder when this asshole will confirm his "declaration of solidarity" to America and the American people! I'm sure Chavez in Macon, GA would go over real well with the locals!
